FinServ Enhances Front Office Capabilities with Two New Hires
New York – March 1, 2011 – FinServ Consulting, an independent provider of business consulting, systems development and integration services to alternative asset managers and their service providers enhanced its front office capabilities with two recent hires. "FinServ traditionally has been very strong in the middle and back office, and as we have grown our client base, we have seen increased demand for front office knowledge and capabilities.

We felt it was the right time to make some key hires in this area to continue our goal of becoming the dominant management consulting firm in the alternative asset management marketplace", commented Howard Weinstein Managing Partner of FinServ Consulting.

Ed Hong joined FinServ in November 2010 after ten years as an equity trader. "Ed added a new and valuable perspective to our team," commented Todd Piskadlo, the head of FinServ's Front Office Consulting Practice. "Having worked as a trader for so many years, Ed really understands what is going through a trader’s mind on a daily basis, and he enables FinServ to build enhanced solutions that will directly add value to our front office clientele."  At his previous firm, Ed’s keen interest in systems made him a significant contributor to the development of in-house trading applications, which were eventually licensed to third parties.

Doug Song, who joined FinServ from Paladyne Systems in March 2011, brings another critical skill set to FinServ's front office capabilities. "With Doug we have a person with deep understanding and knowledge of the critical applications in our marketplace", said Piskadlo. "Not only does Doug know the ins and outs of Paladyne, but because of the nature of his role at Paladyne, he also worked closely with other systems that interfaced with Paladyne such as Advent Geneva and SunGuard VPM. In addition, Doug also worked extensively with custodians and administrators for straight through clearing and processing."

"Doug and Ed have added both breadth and depth to our overall capabilities as a firm. Our goal is to be a one stop shop for all alternative asset managers' needs. These moves have gotten FinServ a lot closer to that goal", said Weinstein.
